A welcome interruption to my afternoon yesterday was the delivery of my latest book: Miva Merchant 5.5: The Official Guide β Second Edition (PR7 & PR8). The forecast said rain, so I used Twitter to pray to Mother Nature… Fortunately, the guys rolled in the driveway with my copies just in time.

This marks my seventh official guide for the Miva Merchant shopping cart software. Last month the company secured distribution rights for the electronic version, which they’ve made available to all Miva Merchant users at no cost.
The print edition, of course, comes with benefits. It’s got a nice, full-color, slick cover, and you can actually hold it in your hands! Registrants also receive a one-year subscription to my upcoming “Shopability Matters” monthly newsletter, doc updates, additional tips and tricks, as well as other cool goodies.
Unfortunately, the bookfold mailers are on backorder and aren’t due here until the 8th, while I’ll be en route to the Miva Merchant conference. So tomorrow the guys will be cutting cardboard for secure shipping. I figure those who pre-ordered would rather get their copies sooner, especially since this edition was almost two years in the making.
Last evening I took a few moments to reflect on this latest accomplishment. Then I jumped right back into work. After all, I’ve got plenty more to teach and plenty more to say… This, for me, is still only the beginning.
My book can be purchased at various outlets, including DesignExtend.com, Miva Central, and directly from me via PayPal.
